PK is a purple Kecleon who's known for being hot-headed and impetuous, earning her a fearful reputation among traders around and outside of Tao Village. She's known for being the head of the Merchants' guild, with Malt as her business partner and Sandy as her personal assistant. Her rash decisions usually result in Malt having to clean up after her. She's normally very frugal, but has a weakness for cake and pastries in general, allowing that to be her one luxury.
Background
Pre-Guild
Alomomola Bay
PK and her sister Anana both grew up in the Alomomola Bay. Their parents ran both the Merchant Hut in Tao Village and the highly profitable Merchant Dock in Alomomola Bay. PK and Anana spent much of their time with their mother at the dock, learning how to trade and do business from her. Their father was often away for weeks at a time running the hut in Tao Village. As a result of the lack of supervision created by two busy parents, PK became rebellious early on, earning Anana the reputation as "the good kid." This, of course, led to an intense, mostly one-sided sibling rivalry that carried on into adulthood.
Throughout her childhood, PK could mostly be found around the other stores along the pier doing her own thing and bothering the owners of said stores. This was much to the chagrin of her parents who instead preferred that she spend all of her free time in their Merchant Dock. She was happy to listen to her parents talk about trade and commerce, but would always slip out of the room during the business ethics and etiquette sections of their monologs. As a result, making her customers feel at ease was something that was neither in her nature nor learned from her parents.
At the Merchant Dock, PK's mother ran a tight ship, so to speak. Anana was able to flawlessly perform shop duties to her mother's exacting specifications, but PK never quite ran it like her mother desired. This furthered the rift between the two sisters, their mother constantly showering Anana with all of the praise and encouragement.
After PK had had enough of her mother's criticism of her rough personality in dealing with customers, she took to learning from the other store owners along the pier. They weren't able to refuse her company as her parents had ownership of the entire pier. As such, PK picked up useful mercantile knowledge that her parents hadn't taught her. She ended up distancing herself from her family in order to learn outside of the negative environment that had been created for her at their Merchant Dock.
The Witch Doctor's Hut
Because of being quick to bore, PK often would explore areas around the bay to sate her desire to see more and do more. In one of her little trips, she ended up at a remote hut, meeting Lamia, a tribal witch doctor. Instead of being afraid and put off, she was intrigued by the Arbok - especially when she saw the doctor bandaging a wounded Pidgey, something not in the nature of many Arbok. She expected to learn how Lamia conducted business, but instead watched as the doctor let the bandaged Pokemon leave without giving payment. This was utterly new and confusing to her, seeing as her parents had never mentioned that anyone might ever offer their services for nothing.
At first, PK vehemently argued that it wasn't a good plan for Lamia to offer such valuable services for free, to which Lamia replied, "sssshut your yappy trap and wait to sssssee." This, of course, angered PK quite a bit, but Lamia wouldn't respond further. Instead, to PK's annoyance, she ignored PK's frenzied shouts and accusations and slithered off to the back of her hut. Eventually, a pair of Pidgey showed up with a giant bundle of berries and herbs for Lamia, thanking her for her earlier service.
Lamia then explained to a dumbfounded PK that her services weren't quite for free, but they were in exchange for any useful ingredients the aided Pokemon could spare. PK made a rare decision out of a newly found sense of respect to stop criticizing the Arbok and instead do as much as she could to learn from her. She spent a lot of time in the following weeks working under Lamia as a familiar, poring over different properties of berries and how to best combine them from Lamia. Throughout this training, she kept in mind that more knowledge would only lead to more convincing arguments to ensure future sales.
A sharp student, all of what Lamia could teach was imparted in mere months. During this time, PK's parents were outraged at her unexpected absence. It was family tradition to pass down ownership of the guild to the oldest of the children, and PK was nowhere to be seen, unable to be reached. Out of apathy for her family, she had forgotten that her parents had been preparing for months to leave and set up affiliated shops on a nearby continent. Oops.
She gratefully left Lamia's hut, vowing that she would never forget the service this Arbok had performed for her. It had been hard work, but it was guaranteed to pay off. PK decided that it was time to head back home to the dock, unsure of how her mother would react, but hopeful for the first time that she could be useful in the shop. She entered the Merchant Dock only to be met with a tongue lash to the face. Her mother was outraged at how far back their plans had been set due to PK's untimely disappearance.
She was immediately ordered to head to Tao Village to help her father make all of the necessary last minute preparations before his departure. Before she could argue, her mother threatened that Anana would receive control of the entire guild if PK made a single misstep further.
Well of Memories
After the day's work, Gunpowder and Anana returned to her home and found PK rummaging for food and supplies. PK informed Anana that their mother was sending her to Tao Village to help their father.
Tao Village
At her mother's request, PK arrived at Tao Village to meet up with her father. She had visited a scant few times and much preferred the ever-sunny Alomomola Bay up in the northeast. In PK's long absence, her father forgot to inform her mother that he had actually found a replacement helper, so PK's help was largely unneeded. Instead of getting caught up and bothered over the possibility that she might not inherit the guild, she took it upon herself to get to know the villagers and the surrounding locales.
Her first order of business was learning how the Pokemon in Tao Village conducted her transactions. She was mystified to learn that, in fact, they did not. Michelle, Master Foo, etc. ran on donations from the Merchants' Guild itself and from Pokemon who found their services useful, similar to Lamia. Mystified over why the Merchants' Guild would provide for the other businesses, she asked her father his reasons for this bewildering behavior. He simply retorted that more services in the area brought more business to the guild and that it didn't cost much to keep the others running.
After familiarizing herself with her father's hut and making certain of the date he was leaving, she decided to make use of the free time she had left and set off to surrounding areas to explore the land.
Prismatic Jungle
Her first journey outside of the bay and Tao Village was to the north in the lush, colorful forest known as the Prismatic Jungle. The fierce and harsh nature of the Pokemon in this land meant that there were no homes or trading plazas in plain sight. She quickly discovered that there was a black market of sorts that existed within the area, though, after impressing some residents after a scuffle. She developed a network of allies after they realized she was one of the Merchant leaders' daughters. She developed some enemies, too - most prominently, Tivoli the Tyrant. In order to evade death at his doing, she was forced to cut her visit to the jungle short.
Luster Caverns
PK made a brief trip back to Tao Village for respite before deciding to head south to Luster Caverns. Her father scolded her for even trying, citing it as an 'impenetrable fortress of xenophobes.' Despite this, her curiosity about the supposed structure built directly into the ground was too overwhelming.
Upon arriving, she found that the security around the perimeter was outstanding, yet using her color change, she was able to bypass it. Remaining hidden the entire stay, she explored the caverns inside the vast structure. Finding it to be densely populated was surprising to her. Even more surprising was how dull and lifeless the inhabitants were. Before leaving, PK had a close call with Sebastian the Stoic.
Merchants' Hut Destruction
Upon returning to the village, she found her father outside the Merchants' Hut which had been reduced to ruins and rubble, setting back his plans to unite with PK's mother to establish more trade. She learned that Tivoli had sent a couple of destructive envoys after PK, but that they had lost track of her after she left Tao Village and headed to Luster Cavern, so they settled instead for ruining her father's hut; as a result, PK's father blamed her for the unfortunate event. In order to avoid his misplaced anger, she left Tao Village yet again - hoping he would recollect his cool after it was rebuilt.
Castle Draclugia
Unafraid as she could be after having glimpsed her father's wrath, she headed in the direction of Sapling Village in order to check out its trading grounds. Rather than take a trip through the Creeping Forest, PK decided to approach Castle Draclugia. She scaled the castle to avoid the guards, using both her mostly-invisible body and the darkness as her veil. Despite this, she was still captured by Merlot for a period of time. During her short imprisonment, PK became friends with Soba and Udon, an extremely unusual occurrence for the pair. At Udon's whim, Merlot decided that PK would have more uses as a friend than as a foe and gave her permission to pass freely through the castle. At that point, Merlot and PK were on good terms with one another.
Sapling Village
Exhausted and famished from her trip through the castle, PK arrived at Sapling Village in a darkened mood, scales muddy in color to match. Despite making it through the castle and final stretch of forest safely, her father and mother's words finally started to sit heavily with her. She found her way to the Commerce Mushroom and proceeded to salivate at the berries on display; it was at this point that she realized she had a pitiful amount of money remaining in her cache. She sized up the owner of the stall - a little Shroomish. Upon asking the price of her favored Payapa berry, he cheerfully responded with an amount a few coins over her limit. This was the last straw and she was able to contain her mood no longer; her scales turned black and she curtly retorted that his accent was 'cute,' then proceeded to buy a berry of lesser worth.
After her hunger was sated and she was able to rest a day, she met with Elder Shroom. Already having known of him for the herbs and mushrooms that Sapling Village exported to Alomomola Bay, she was content to ask questions to learn about the location in depth. Elder Shroom, ever kind and helpful, was glad to educate the daughter of one of his trading partners. She still wasn't able to return to her purple sheen throughout the session, problems with her family and guild inheritance questions weighing heavily in her mind. Elder Shroom was quick to pick up on this and eventually talked PK into sharing her worries with him.
After she caught him up to speed, he remained thoughtful for a bit. To PK's surprise, he offered her a deal: he would set up a better deal on exports for Tao Village until her father relinquished ownership of the guild, at which point PK would be to offer trade conditions in favor of Sapling Village. Elder Shroom told her that he would credit her with arranging the favorable trade conditions for Tao Village, were her father to ask. Overwhelmed with and amazed at his kindness, she thanked him profusely and glowed bright with happiness, regaining her violet hue.
As she left the Commerce Mushroom, she noticed the Shroomish from the day before was wearing a monocle sans lens. 'Tacky...'
Final Return to Tao Village
It had only been little more than a week, but PK's father had arranged for the Merchants' Hut to have its structure mostly rebuilt. It was still missing the tent cover, but the insides were arranged properly and the goods were being replaced. It was a large effort for the hut to be rebuilt on such short notice, but he had the resources to do it. As she approached him her last chance at a saving grace in the form of good trade news, he told her that Anana was arriving the next day to appoint a shop head for the hut, seeing as PK wasn't fit to run either the hut or the dock. As crushing as this news was, she begged for a last chance, promising to increase profits.
He didn't want to listen at first, but quickly realized what a good deal she had secured with Sapling Village. Little did PK realize, her father wanted a specific set of berries in excess to bring to the planned shop the next continent over. Elder Shroom knew this and had arranged for those exact berries to be severely reduced in bulk price... and despite how much he would have been able to make from her father if the Elder had kept them at full price, he dropped the price anyway - for her sake.
Her father canceled Anana's trip and begrudgingly allowed that PK inherit Tao Village, but his decision on Anana receiving Alomomola Bay was final. PK was grateful to receive anything at all at that point and took over operations of the half-rebuilt Merchants' Hut. Her father departed to Alomomola Bay in the north and PK oversaw completion of the hut.
Guild Inheritance
After the restoration of the hut, PK commenced her business. True to her word, she arranged a generous trade agreement with Sapling Village. As a bonus thank-you, she sent a large package of goods to the residents, very aware that her sister could have been in this spot had it not been for Elder Shroom's intervention.
Not much time had passed before she met Shroomsworth after Master Foo pointed him in her direction. She was extremely agitated by his initial criticisms of how she ran her business, being reminded of her nagging mother. However, this criticism was constructive, unlike that of her mother. Thus, she decided he might be useful and thereafter took him on as a business partner.
Afterward, she realized Shroomsworth was familiar to her, but wasn't quite sure why as she'd never before encountered a Breloom.
Missions and Events
Mission 1
During Mission 1, PK arranged for the safe escort of envoys to do trading with a hoarder Snorlax, a greedy Persian, and a fancy Hydreigon. It was her decision to open the Merchants' Guild to many new members instead of keeping it exclusive in order to bring about more profits, as she had learned firsthand that more knowledge and helping hands equaled more profits for the guild.
She arranged for teams to help out the local residents with their various problems during this time, as well.
Before Mission 1 was over, Shroomsworth made his return to the village from some errands out of town. Not a day later, during her lunch break, a team returned with a grey stone that PK thought to be worthless at first. Shroomsworth remembered hearing something of an important stone and implored her to reconsider and humor his hunch.
Mission 2
PK stayed in the village during Mission 2, having Shroomsworth perform the main mission, allowing him to visit his hometown in the process. The real reason behind his trip was mostly so that Shroomsworth could visit the Viridian Shrine to speak with Coliche. Certain that her arrangements with Merlot would carry Shroomsworth through the castle without harm or that he would be able to take Slasher's gang down easily due to his type advantage, PK kept herself busy with arrangements in Tao Village.
As an aside, she ordered cakes to celebrate Shroomsworth's first success in a major mission, but he didn't return in time and so she ate them before they went stale.
When Shroomsworth returned, Shroomsworth confirmed his suspicions about the stone to her. During his recount of events, a stowaway from Merlot's castle was discovered in the egg cart Shroomsworth had used during Mission 2. She made preparations to leave after her interview with Kathy, choosing to take on the Deino as a personal assistant rather than return her to Merlot. They went to Kathy's interview together, and then PK went on to wait in a flowery grove with the God Stone for teams to accompany her to the Icy Cavern.
Event 2
After having his special bag stolen by the Slasher gang, Zhu, along with Tam and Aya, came to the village to see if anyone had seen it. Their first stop was the Merchant Stand where they met PK. She was unable to help the Pyrotechnic Hermit much but she, along with Devonshire and Chill, was able to gather up all guild members and help Zhu find his special bag and put on a fireworks for the village.
Mission 3
Despite Shroomsworth's warning from a guardian, PK and a group of experienced Merchant guild members headed to the Icy Cavern. It was a race against time because Devonshire, Chill, and their guild members were also headed to Monochrome Tower, just next to the cavern, in hope of being the first in resurrecting a dragon, which they intended to use to enforce their beliefs upon the village. PK succeeded in awakening an icy dragon, Kyurem, which she quickly gave him the name Sorbet.
Event 3
The Kecleon, along with many other Pokemon in the village and surrounding area, fell ill because of the unseasonal snow and cold Sorbet had brought with him. She spent the entire event in bed with Sandy by her side.

A Deal
Mission 4
PK went to Sapling Village to attempt to retreive a book on Kyurem, after Sporegard and various teams failed to deliver the goods. Mid-flight with Bartholomew, Sapling Village is covered in a wall of thorns summoned by Arianna. PK and the Merchant teams now trapped in the village force entry into Arianna's library and persuade her to allow them the required books. Arianna heals all the teams that were injured with the Thistle Whistle and allows PK to take the instrument along with her books on Kyurem back to the village.
On returning, PK attempts to heal Shroomsworth's broken leg with the Thistle Whistle, but manages to break his other leg instead. Under instruction from Fresnel on proper use of the Whistle, however, she does manage to heal both his legs.
Event 4
In order to bring peace between the guilds, Sorbet proposed to have a huge celebration in the Spinda Cafe to honor his birthday. Since it was PK's idea to revive Sorbet to bring peace to the village, it was expected for the Merchant guild to sponsor the event. At first, the purple Kecleon, did not like the idea of having to spend so much money on a party, but Shroomsworth pointed out to his partner that there was profit to be made if the Merchant Hut were to sell gifts. With that in mind, PK happily went to work and enjoyed herself at the celebration.
Mission 5
After Sorbet goes mad and starts attacking Tao for no particular reason, PK leaves Tao to seek out Coliche, who was Kyurem's guardian before he awoke. Coliche is mistrusting and refuses to help. Initially, PK had planned to use the thistle whistle to control Coliche in order to force her to help, but this proves to be unnecessary because as soon as Coliche finds out that Sorbet is not himself, she agrees to help. PK leaves the thistle whistle behind at the shrine since there is no time to return it to Arianna. During the battle against Sorbet, PK works with her to bring Sorbet back from his madness. When Sorbet tried to attack PK, he nearly succeeded in killing her but Coliche stepped in the way and took the blow, a mortal wound. PK thought she would die, but Prosphora appeared and healed her, also sealing Sorbet back into his stone.
After the battle, PK went off on her own to investigate the ravaged Tao Village. On her way there, she meets up with Devonshire, Rhodes, and Udon, who inform her of Merlot's offer of a place to stay while the village is restored. Rhodes and Udon leave to investigate Creeping Forest, leaving Devonshire and PK alone. PK expresses her surprise at Merlot's offer, and explains her guilt and sadness over the events that have transpired. When she is done speaking, Devonshire informs her that Palette is not dead, relieving her former guilt. As it turned out, Palette was hidden away in order to prove that she was not the cause of Sorbet's madness, and was innocent. Another Zoroark was behind the maddening illusions, through the use of an unknown power.
PK was overwhelmed by all the events occurring all at once. She knew that everybody would blame her, but worse, these had to happen on her birthday. She shed some tears despite herself and involuntarily turned invisible for some time.
Back at the village, PK meets Fresnel and Maple, who were searching for the last trophy that Mike had of Chill. Maple blamed Fresnel for what happened and PK attempted to calm her down. She informed her of Sorbet's stone slumber, and comforted her with the hope that he might return and wake up someday (though she doesn't know if it will really happen).
Mission 6
Shroomsworth and Sandy return to a ravaged Tao Village have a happy reunion. PK told Sandy to go play with Maple to "avoid the subject of Coliche's close encounter with death." After the Deino left, PK spent some time catching up with Shroomsworth. It didn't last long, however, when Shroomsworth received a letter from Arianna explaining Elder Shroom's demise and PK's thievery of the thistle whistle. This ultimately caused Shroomsworth to mistrust and refuse to forgive PK and return to Sapling Village, leaving behind a blackened and heart-broken PK to care for the disaster-struck Tao.
After Shroomsworth's departure, PK found one source of comfort and solace. She cast away her pride, gave into her desperation, and allowed herself to once again become intimate with Twigs. Not only had his less than frugal ways touched her blackened heart, but because of Twigs' vast riches, PK was also able to repair and improve the village, with lessened cost to herself.
The Illusion
PK had sacrificed sleep to create the perfect ground plans to rebuild Tao, a choice that disturbed her new guild assistant Malt. She retired from working for the night, but she decided to take a walk to the Creeping Forest and firmly ordered Malt to not follow her.
The combination of her despair and loss of sleep caused the Kecleon to have hallucinations of Sorbet, and she spent the evening lamenting at the apparition until Malt's interference. Her assistant tried to comfort her and keep her spirits high for Tao's rejuvenation and (possibly) Shroomsworth's return.
The Dates
Despite Twigs' perception of their first date as a success, PK continued to suffer from sleep deprivation and misery. The one thing that seemed to cheer her up was Nibble and his services in Alomomola City's sushi bar. When Twigs offered to have weekly outings, she declined due to prior commitments in Tao.
Those prior commitments were to help better and improve the quality of Tao Village. Devonshire even removed any trace of Shroomsworth from the merchants' documents in exchange for PK granting Palate a plot of land within the village's confines. She also pranked Mike into paying off a nonexistent debt soon after his return from Gambitville, but when she revealed the joke to him, PK grew immediately uncomfortable when the Charmander made the bizarre decision to kiss her.
The Question
While visiting the new and improved Tao Ranch, PK was called away abruptly by Twigs for another date. This time they visited the Merchant's Pier in Alomomola Cuty where they had first met, and Twigs presented to her a box with two rings. In the midst of the crowd that congregated around them, she spotted Anana looking quite manic, and the Kecleon accepted Twigs' proposal.
Event 6
The newly engaged PK organized a planting project on behalf of Jasmine, who suggested it to help the forest from Sorbet's incident.
Mission 7
Jasmine was abducted by Shade when the project was underway, and PK and Mike organized a rescue party to retrieve here. But things went wrong, and they were transported to the past along with a whole slew of guild members.
Event 7
In the far past, PK and Iceburg found and carried Jasmine in hope to reach Monochrome Tower. But, they were led astray by an illusion and found themselves in a hidden Zoroark village. The creator of the illusion, Gleam, offered medical help to aid Jasmine, but nothing seemed to work.
Under strange, external circumstances, Jasmine gained enough strength to transport the misplaced Tao residents forward 100 years to their village. The village, recently founded at this time, was led by Micle Nomel, the great-great-grandfather of PK. Much to her dismay, Mike posed as her husband to prevent the older Kecleon from trying to flirt with her, which only worked to an extent. He was then told about Jasmine's predicament, and he agreed to help them out in a side conversation with Mike on the condition that the Kecleon was allowed an evening with Mike's "wife". The Charmeleon accepted the proposal without PK's knowledge.
During campfire conversation, she accidentally exposed her true identity to the Grand Kec when he was telling a story of defeating two large "chickens", a story debuting that night for most but an old story PK had heard growing up. Now fully informed of the situation, Micle proposed writing to comrades in the distant future and sealing them in a capsule in the event his visitors do not return to their time. With Mike's encouragement, PK decided to write a letter to Shroomsworth.
Mission 8
By Micle's request, PK was a substitute for his position in the upcoming battle against the Zoroark clan. To better equip herself, he offered her a choice between two of his ponchos, and she selected the Iridescent Poncho. When Mike entered the hut to check up on her, she confronted him on pretending to be her husband and was firm in informing him she could handle these situations herself. As the argument progressed, the effects of the poncho amplified her emotions and she struck the Charmeleon down. Iceburg interfered before any more could come of the fight.
PK was then given a run down of tactics for the impending battle by Perry and Brooke: Callahan and she were responsible for the outside offense ring, and it was their job to ignite moondust to blind their opponents and clear away their illusions.
