Story of the Captain
Devon and his men arrived to the castle in search of information concerning the disappearance of Baron Dandelo. Captain Devon took it upon himself to interact with Merlot and quickly become close friends with the small Lugia. She had even given him a cape and a frilly bow for him to wear. Once she was older, Merlot realized her father was never coming back from outside the castle walls. Devon did what he could to comfort her, though he himself was soon to venture away from Castle Draclugia.
Mission 2
During Mission 2, Rescuers needed to go with Mike and confront Merlot on the sudden disappearance of many Sapling Village residence.
Merchants needed to accompany Shroomsworth on delivering eggs to Sapling Village to replenish the village population. To avoid any hostilities from Slasher and his Sneasel gang, the Breloom opted to pass through the castle, even if it meant paying a hefty toll.
Resignation
Slasher entered the castle and demanded to speak with Merlot. He told the Baroness of Shroomsworth and how he had stolen property from her. She didn't believe him and told the Breloom would do no such thing. After dismissing him, Slasher took his anger out on Rhodes, leaving a scar on the child's face.
Books
Skive, one of the Sneasels of the Slasher Gang, infiltrated the castle's library for information about a certain species, before being confronted by the librarians and subsequently expelled.
Mission 5
During Sorbet's rampage, villagers evacuated through Devonshire's tunnels under his law firm. The tunnels eventually led to the library at Castle Draclugia. Just as Merlot was about to confront the huge crowd of refugees, she recognized Devonshire and began to cry, asking her old friend where he had been.
Unreasonable
After being apart for so many years, Merlot was disappointed to hear Devonshire had to leave the castle once again. As long as he was out of Tao Village, Devonshire had difficulty staying in a solid, stable form. To cheer her up, Devonshire invited Merlot to lunch before his leave.
Bitter Tears
Merlot asked Gunpowder to come along on a brief stroll. She took the Gabite into a tunnel in the garden that lead to a ledge overlooking the Creeping Forest. Gunpowder told Merlot stories of Devonshire and how he was as a person for hours until his voice was horse. He asked the Baroness why she didn't go out to look for him. She revealed her fear of going outside because everyone who she cared for left the castle and never came back.
Mission 6
Until the construction of the new Tao Village was complete, Merlot offered her castle to house all the villagers who were displaced from Sorbet's rampage. In return, guild members were expect to help servants around the castle.
Rogues assisted Soba in creating a meal for the hundreds of temporary residents of the castle. Rescuers helped Missy with taking care of all the little children, making sure none of them would run around the castle and disturb Merlot. Unlike the other two guild, Merchants did not take jobs at the castle. Instead, they were placed in charge of rebuilding the village and the ranch.
