Alomomola City is a location in Tao World, located just north of Alomomola Bay and northeast of Tao Village. It is the residence and property of Anana, who is the sister of PK. As its name implies, Alomomola City was built on the banks of a bay it shares it name with. Boasting a great number of sea routes, the bay serves as a great natural reservoir where ships are naturally protected.

Taking advantage of its sea routes, Alomomola City enjoys bustling trade from many place in and out of the continent. Making it one of the largest centers of commerce in the Tao World. Though they lack a central export, the robust amount of trinkets from Tao that are demanded, combined with the bustling population gathering seeking their fortunes (either as merchants or gamblers). Give the city a robust economy that stand proudly over more moderate attempts at Tao Village.

Given its proximity to the bay, the residents are mostly water Pokémon. But given the amount of Pokémon gathering from all of the Tao World, it's become a melting pot society where all kinds of Pokémon live and can be accepted. The cultural diversity they enjoy has also been a source of unrest at times. While not wholly sociably acceptable, one can find places where any kind of commodity can be sold here in Alomomola, even Pokémon themselves; usually as foodstuffs.

The City itself is a very interesting and exciting area. The various cultures and attraction present in the City are a pull factor for many Pokemon to visit for vacation, or to even take up permanent residence. There is an interesting dichotomy present in the City: the technological and the natural.

As evident with the King's Rock Casino, Alomomola City is very advanced in terms of technology. The presence of electricity alone is an awe-inspiring factor to many visitors. The lights, gambling machines and computers present are powered by an intricate web of wires and electricity powered by unknown means. The Casino is not the only place present with access to electricity, however it is the most prevalent and the one place many Pokemon's eyes drift towards.

Separate yet together with the City is the Bay area, which house many white sand beaches and boardwalks, with tourists attractions such as fair games and food vendors, for many-a-Pokemon to enjoy. Also present on the beach are the Matchmakers Rhythm and Pulse, to cater to your love-finding needs, and the Witch Doctors Lamia, Zabi and Azif, to help heal any ailments with a more natural remedy if those medicines within a hospital are too off-putting.

Anana the Kecleon, sister to Tao Village's resident PK, owns all the business within the Bay. Having inherited them from her father, Agave, Anana takes care to not only make sure all the businesses are up and running, but to also lend a helping hand when needed with charitable donations.

The City itself has a less that legitimate side as well. It is often advised to never approach a Murkrow who offers a deal that's too good to be true. Especially if this Murkrow happens to don a red bowtie. This Murkrow would be Sal, the right-hand to Geeno, the Honchkrow loan shark. Many Pokemon has fallen victim to the sweet, sweet words that trill of these birds' silver tongues only to have their entire life savings ripped from their very hands. Geeno's "business" has also been linked to many kidnapping and disappearance recently within the City.

Its said that the less-legitimate side of Alomomola started a while back when Agave was in charge of the city and decided to abandon a housing project that he had for poor Pokemon. The half finished project turned into a type of slum, where it all began.

Missions and Events

Complementaries

Chapter 1
PK and Anana spent their childhood helping their parents, Agave and Cheri, run the Merchant Dock. Increasingly, Agave found himself spending more time working in Tao Village and Anana was being trained to take over the shop. PK found herself with more free time and would go off and play with some children in the poor part of the city. Her favorite game was hide 'n seek, given her special ability as a Kecleon, she was an excellent in finding hiding spots, but she tended to get angry and accused of others cheating if they ever managed to find her.

One morning, the Kecleon twins split tasks in preparing breakfast for their parents. PK took charge in cooking eggs while Anana went off to get freshly made juice. However, when she returned, she and her sister were lectured by the father on the difference between plain and colorful eggs. Agave also made a list of Pokemon the girls would soon have to be careful around or they will end up laying colorful eggs. A few weeks went by and Anana had the list memorized, as expected, though PK seemed less interested in doing the task. The girls found time to go off and play with Fin, Naki, and other children in the slums. Not wanting to seem to eager, PK got Anana to suggest a game of hide 'n seek, which the others reluctantly went along but would abandon the twins later that day.

As PK cried, she met a Rattata named Charles. He listened and spoke to PK in a way she was not used to, which she liked, and invite the blind rat to her home to try a few berries. He left, however, the moment PK told Anana not to tell their father of her guest since he did not want to cause trouble to either of the girls. He and PK would meet in the day to hang out until one day, PK searched high and low for him, only to find an ill Charles. Not knowing what to do, she took him to her home and sought out help from her father at the shop. Agave told his daughter she would have to pay him if she ever wanted anything from him since she no longer contributed to the family business. With no money and no chance of help from her family, PK ran to the Tea and Noodle shop Charles lived behind and explained the situation to Mon-Mon. The tea brewer helped out the distressed Kecleon and carried Charles to the Witch Doctor, Lamia. Although the Arbok said it was too late to save the Rattata, Mon-Mon mentioned a Life Tea she heard from her homeland and offered to give the doctor the recipe as payment for curing Charles. PK stayed by Charles' side while Mon-Mon and Lamia prepared the tea.

Well of Memories

Before coming to Tao Village, Gunpowder worked at the Merchant Dock for Anana. He was not very good at handling transactions, especially with unruly customers, but Anana did not get mad. She tried to cheer up the Gabite and sent him to the back to handle inventory with Fabian. In the evening, Anana would invite Gunpowder to her home for some dinner, but was shocked to find PK there instead, packing supplies in a knapsack. As Anana began to poke fun at her sister, telling her of the trouble she had caused her parents and the delay of their trip overseas, PK told her their mother had ordered her to head to Tao Village to join their father, and eventually, inherit the village. The news did not seem to settle well with Anana so Gunpowder excused himself and left. Later at night, he heard a commotion going on in the shop and went to investigate. He found a Scraggy thug, who was threatening to destroy some merchandise and cause harm to Anana. Gunpowder sprung into action to defend the Kecleon and killed the Scraggy in the process. Before he died, it was revealed that the Scraggy appeared to know Gunpowder from a gang his brother ran. Gunpowder would explain his background to Anana and, to ensure her safety from the gang, would leave to start a new life elsewhere.

Anana and Terra

At an unknown point in time, Anana noticed something in the nearby waters from her shop, and saw that it was a Pokémon . Upon closing her shop and rushing down to the beach for closer inspection, it turned out to be a Bagon, who had fallen into the bay and was deathly ill. Anana took the Bagon to a witchdoctor Arbok named Lamia, who was able to bring the Bagon back to health. When it awakened, it revealed that its name was Terra. Terra had ended up in the bay after trying to fly, failing due to her lack of wings. Anana noticed the brass collar she was wearing and, after a confusing and frustrating conversation, was able to work out that Terra was from the nearby cathedral built into the cliffs. When Terra concluded that she would not be returning to the cathedral due to her lack of wings, Anana made Terra her shop assistant.

Mission 6

While Tao Village was under reconstruction, members of any guild were asked to go to the city and fill in the position of Dee in the magic show held at the casino. For their time and effort, Anana paid them all a substantial amount of Poke.

Echo

Shou Mei arrived to the city from Fortissimo Peak in hopes of hearing one of her songs performed by someone with talent. She ran into Harmony, one of the idols of the casino, and was invited to stay and listen to her and her partner perform that night.

Red or Black

Desperate for money to rebuild his home, Pal went to the casino in hopes of striking it rich. He failed and when he couldn't pay back the pay he had spent, Pal was brought into the office of Royce, the owner of the establishment. Royce offered the artist several ways to pay off his debt, all of which were humiliating, but Pal stood his ground and denied them all. As a last chance, Royce told the Smeargle he would not only forgive his debt, but would also give him a large amount of poke if he won a game. However, if he lost, Pal would be subjected to torture on stage at the casino. With no other alternative, Pal took a chance and won. With riches in hand, he quickly left the casino, promising to never ever gamble again.

Spiritual Malaise

Vendetta, the Porygon-Z controlling the electrical equipments of King's Rock Casino had malfunctioned in a rather unusual way at the same time with others of her kind in Steel City, producing two jackpots on a slot machine in a row -- And causing a minor incident by doing that -- before crashing entirely, shutting the entire casino down for days.

The Dates

Twigs would often whisk PK away from her responsibilities in Tao Village and take his girl on dates. The pair often visited the city, where there was much to see and do.

The Question

After taking PK away from her appointment at Tao Ranch, Twigs brought her to the city and proposed to her in front of a crowd of Pokemon. The look on Anana's face was enough for PK to accept.

Mission 7

Since Winston disappeared with half of the village, Fresnel asked members of his guild to deliver a letter he had written to Anana. They also were warned to be on the look out for anyone suspicious or causing Anana trouble.

Meanwhile, Chex asked members of the Rogues guild to accompany him to the city and demand the golden Kecleon to pay him more for removing an insane amount of bodies from the city.

Mission 8

While in the tunnels under Tao Village, PK began to tell Mike and Devonshire of her childhood. As it turns out, PK met Twigs in Alomomola City as she was taking and selling some of her father's things in order to afford ingredients of the Life Tea for Charles. During that time, Twigs did not rat her out to her father and began courting the young Kecleon. Agave and Cheri were thrilled to learn of this and began to plan their daughter's future, as well as strongly hint PK should get close to Twigs to lay an egg. However, Charles died before PK could reach her goal and she became depressed for the loss of her only friend. Anana tried to cheer her up, but instead discovered PK was going blind as well. As she became weaker, Agave didn't believe she was truly ill, in fact he thought she was just trying to ruin his chance of getting the other half of the deed to Tao Village, but finally believed her after having four different doctors look at her. By then PK was extremely weak and could barely make out what Anana and Twigs were talking about as they stood at her bed side. Eventually, PK was given the Life Tea to drink and wash her eyes with. Cheri told her it was Twigs who had bought the expensive tea, all just for her, and that she should be grateful. But even after all that, PK still didn't have strong feelings for the cat and sought out comfort from her sister, but Anana turned on her as well. After getting her fortune told at the witch doctor's hut, PK went to Windswept Woods, broke into Twigs' villa, and stole his family's half of the deed. She then left it on her father's night stand for him to find in the morning.

July Tasks 2013

This month's tasks took place in the city. Normally, Anana would be expected to take charge, but due to her workload to run the city, Royce of the King's Rock Casino took her place. Every task on the list was available for all guild members. Each task was worth one point, and if a team completed more than two tasks, Royce would given then an artifact.

First on the list was to assist the construction of housing projects on the outskirts of the city. In addition to rebuilding the slums, guild members were also asked to help make the work place a lot safer. Since the start of construction, there had been many accidents.

Next was to act as security as money was being transferred to the casino's safe. Since the casino already stored a vast amount of money for its own business, some citizens of Alomomola have also asked Royce to safely guard their fortune. With Riiko out of town, Royce asked guild members to accompany the Pokemon as they move the money and keep muggers away.

Although Anana wasn't present, she still had some tasks for Tao guild members to complete on her behalf. The Kecleon wanted Alomomola waters to be more friendly to visitors and in order to accomplish this, she asked teams to go with Fin to fire a Qwilfish patrol. In addition to relieving the Qwilfish, Anana also asked guild members to evict Pokemon from their homes who had not paid off their debts. Royce noted a majority of these Pokemon came from very well off families, but recklessly gambled away their fortune. He asked team not to accept any bribes or deals from the parents, if they offered any.

The next batch of tasks took place at the casino, since Royce was a bit understaffed with Riiko's trip.

Fake chips began to appear on the casino floor. Royce asked guild members to come in at night, when the chips most often appeared, blend in, and track down the forger. Also, if possible, catch the Pokemon and bring them into Royce's office for him deal with.

Riiko ran a 'risk room' in the casino, were Pokemon may place higher bets for a greater pay out, though these kind of bets sometimes involved someone giving up with tail or fur coat. To make sure no one in there bets their life away, Royce asked teams to help manage the room.

Royce isn't happy that a Bisharp, who claims to be hired by Anana, was placed in the casino to act as co-head of security. Not trusting the Bisharp, Royce wants guild members to help fire him by playin the games at the casino, cheat, and get caught by Royce.

Lastly, a Gardevoir is known to regularly come to the casino to play and is considered to be a valued costumer, but Royce has noticed lately she appears to be getting bored. Guild members were asked to join the lady for the night and show her a good time at the casino.

The next couple of tasks involved the advance technology found in the casino. Wind and Eva were willing to give lessons to members of the guilds in the basics of engineering. Just as well, there was a machine on the casino floor that started to act up. It was verbally insulting Pokemon and causing some customers to leave the casino. Royce asked members to talk some sense into the machine, without breaking it.
