Chapter 1
Charles met PK shortly after the Kecleon realized her so-called friends had abandoned her and her sister, Anana, during a game of hide-and-seek. He had mistaken PK's tail for a branch and bitten on it. He was quick to apologized and started to converse with her. The way he spoke to PK was very refreshing, so she invited the Rattata to her place to try some berries he never had before. However, not wanting to cause the Kecleon sisters any trouble, he left.
Charles and PK would continue to spend their days together, becoming close friends, though PK would do most of the talking, until one day Charles didn't come out to meet the little Kecleon. PK eventually found him but he was in a very weakened state. He was carried to her bedroom, where she tried to make him as comfortable as possible before going out to seek help. After her father refused to listen to his disgruntled daughter, PK ran to the noodle and tea shop to seek out Mon-Mon for help. The two brought Charles to a hut outside Alomomola City to Lamia. The Arbok strongly hinted to PK that there was not much she could do to help him, but gave Mon-Mon an idea on a possible cure. PK stayed by Charles' side while Mon-Mon looked for the recipe of the legendary Life Tea and Lamia gathered the ingredients.
Mission 8 Epilogue
As she recalled the passed, PK told Mike and Devonshire of Charles, for whom she considered to be her only friend. When she and Charles begun to hang out, she stopped playing with Anana. However, when she came to the point of when Charles fell ill, she revealed the Rattata had died before the Life Tea could be brewed and brought to him.
