Tao Village (Past).png

A small village that suffers monthly attacks from a nearby clan.
This is how Tao Village appeared when Devonshire first arrived sometime after his death. Very few buildings were present, some still obscured by trees.
Most noticeable buildings were the Merchant Hut, run by Micle, and Chlora's shop.

Missions and Events

Event 7

Following Jasmine's sudden explosion and send nearly half of the villagers to the past, PK, Mike, and Devonshire all had the same idea and met at Monochrome Tower. There, they encountered a tribe of peaceful golden-eyed Zoroark. The tribe's medic failed to help Jasmine's failing health, but a wish from Rhodes cause the green fairy to feel well enough to try to teleport everyone back to their own time. Unfortunately, she fell 150 years short of her target and the group arrived the newly settled Tao Village run by the Grand Kec. Micle soon realized that the group was not of their time and offered them a chance to write letters to their loved ones in the future. He had his good friend, Foxy make sure the letters were delivered to the correct time. In the meantime, Micle told the only way to save Jasmine was to get access to a special sap produced from a tree within the Creeping Forest.

Scars and Regrets

The night before the raid was to begin, PK had trouble sleeping. As she sat wondering if Shroomsworth would even be there to read her letter in the present, she was joined by Rhodes. The young Sneasel revealed to her of Winston's fate. He tried to explain what happened but broke down crying. PK warped a large blanket around both of them, holding Rhodes to comfort him, and fell asleep.

Mission 8

It was the time of the month when a tribe of hostile golden-eyed Zoroark descended upon Tao Village and begin to slaughter anyone in sight. While Micle and Mike went to collect sap needed to heal Jasmine, PK and others stayed behind to defend the village. PK and Foxy were in charge of setting up moondust traps outside the village and attack the front of the raid. Perry and Brooke stayed within the village and attack any Zoroark that made passed initial traps. Dr. Quaak and Cheryl set up a triage center to aid anyone injured.

Epilogue

In the aftermath of the raid, Devonshire returned from his trip to Castle Draclugia only to hear from Foxy of Perry's fate. The two spoke of what they knew of the Zoroark tribe and went off to do their business. Meanwhile, Micle and Mike returned from the Tree of Life with a lot of sap. Micle insisted on giving Jasmine the sap instead of Dr. Quaak, which he did. He then took the rest of the sap to his room, along with Ceylon's pelt.

Mike found PK asleep in their tent but tripped over her. She got mad at him but to the Charmeleon, she acted as if she couldn't see where he was. PK realized that she had lost her eyesight and began to panic. Mike went to Micle's room for an explanation, only to find the Kecleon in the middle of an intimate moment with Brooke. Micle explained that the loss of eyesight was a mere side effect of the ponchos and should fade away in a few days. Still, PK was upset about being blind once again.

The next day, Micle, the pelt, and the sap were nowhere to be found, and Brooke told Mike it was none of their business to know where he went. Mike was upset to learn of this. He knew enough sap was collected in case other villagers needed it, and with Perry's death, Mike felt Micle had betrayed the trust of a loyal friend. Mike shared this information to PK and told her the truth about how the ponchos were made. She became more distressed on the details that were revealed; the two ponchos were made with "Kecleon scales", but were really the severed tails of Micle's wife and son.

The following day, PK and Mike had a conversation with Devonshire while the latter was digging the tunnel that would be under his future law firm. PK told the two of her past, how during her childhood she went blind, how a young Twigs courted her and saved her life, and how she stole his family's deed to half of Tao Village and gave it to her father. Having learned much of the Merchant leader, Devonshire suggested the two to come back the next day in order to speak to Shade. He believed there was a puppet master behind her and the tribe's attacks on the village.
