Patrat Patrol
The closest thing to a Police force that Tao Village has, the Patrat Patrol is a group of Patrats run by Vergil and Scout, a shiny Watchog and Patrat, to act as security guards and officers. Since Tao Village has no set laws, they need to be paid to perform their services. They seem to prefer working with Merchants and Rescuers rather than Rogues, however.

Vergil is the head of the hired security forces, tasked with keeping the village safe from wrongdoers.
Mission 3
Vergil was hired by Puzelle to stop a sneasel from Slasher's gang from stealing anymore eggs. He asked the Rescuers for help in capturing the culprit.
Fight and Flight
Vergil interrogated Cyclone when she was arrested for dropping guano on the Sorbet fountain in the middle of the village. He, along with another bird, decided it would be best for her to serve out her sentence by helping Archimedes with his delivery service.

Vergil was teleported, along with Devonshire, Caldera, Dr. Kaiser Quaak and some members of the Rescuers guild somewhere near Monochrome tower after an explosion caused by Jasmine. He, along with the rest of the group, have taken it upon themselves to capture Shade and put her on trial for causing the Sorbet incident.

Scout is Vergil's right-hand Patrat and is responsible for apprehending troublemakers in the village. His top priority is maintaining the peace.
Fight and Flight
Scout, with the help of a Staraptor, was able to arrest Cyclone right after for defiling the Sorbet fountain.
Tasks
The Patrat Patrol asked guild members to delieve a letter to Gunpowder concerning about their payment through a task. As it turns out, Devonshire was the one who finances them to continue their services here in the village. This task was worth one point.
