Chibby the Bulbasaur is the head baker of the Crossroads Cafe at the Outpost between Tao Village and Sapling Village. Though friendly with customers and those outside his restaurant, he can be a bit grouchy if he doesn't get everything his way in the kitchen, where he prepares many of the fine baked goods to be sold to the travellers and traders stopping by on their way.
Lately he's been especially happy with business after getting many custom orders from the Merchant Guild and Castle Draclugia. He does much of his work relying on his vines to do the mixing and fine detail work that goes into what he makes.
Background
Chibby grew up in Sapling Village, one of the many eggs that were often left close to the village without a word. Quiet and shy, he looked up to the others who showed boldness and dedication, particularly in Shroomsworth, whose combination of charisma and spirit seems perfect to him. He'd always been picky while eating, insisting on picking berries himself and preparing any food he could so that it tasted how he wanted. He also abhorred the fact that he was partly poison type, denying quite loudly that he could produce poison anytime it came up.
Inspired when the Elder Shroom set Shroomsworth up with his own stand, Chibby approached the Elder Shroom to try to find work too. It quickly became apparent to the Elder that Chibby's quirk made him a particularly talented cook. Because the little village didn't have any restaurants and lacked any other means to develop Chibby's ability to cook, the Elder Shroom arranged for him to travel to Alomomola City to train as a cook.
Upon arriving, the little Bulbasaur ended up being a very stereotypical country kid in the big city, completely overwhelmed by his new surroundings. He managed to find work, but was quickly taken advantage of for being hard working and following any instructions given without question, constantly overworked, underpaid, and given grunt work at various restaurants before getting moved around. It didn't seem long before he would have to give up, but one of the most prestigious bakeries took him in, and the head baker took a liking to Chibby.
Soon after, Chibby was apprenticed. The quirky, hot-headed chef he worked under taught him from the beginning that creativity and bull-headedness made great chefs, and that he would never be good if all he did was follow orders. After finally being pushed into thinking for himself, Chibby found he loved the nature of baking: taking precise formulas and tweaking them to his own needs. He quickly finished his apprenticeship and decided to leave, unhappy with the big city he saw as abusive, but hardened and more learned by his experiences there.
He returned to Sapling Village shortly after, but found that his time in the city had left him too different from his former "family" to fit in well. The village did not need a restaurant or bakery, and upon hearing of the outpost between there and Tao Village, he left to fulfill his dream of opening a bakery. Template:Clr

Chiffy the Charizard is Chibby's apprentice. One would wonder why a Charizard would apprentice under a Bulbasaur, especially one reputed to be rather bossy at times, though nobody's ever been brave enough to ask. He is very happy with his position helping out and learning in the kitchen, despite being given much of the grunt work given his size. He is usually quite amicable, but is rumored to have something of a rivalry with Shroomsworth.
Background
Chiffy was born in Fortissimo Peak. Chiffy had a fascination with the area outside like many other young there, but unlike the others it persisted even after he evolved fully into a Charizard. His great strength and quick growth wrought quite a bit of jealousy, and he managed to stave off any conflict with his equally unusual friendliness, but he could tell clearly that his days were numbered. Eventually, after a fight with his sister, Chiffy left Fortissimo peak and wandered.
Chiffy's wanderings didn't go very well much of the time, mainly because his upbringing in Fortissimo Peak left him naive and unaccustomed to the world around. The desert was nice enough, if a little -too- hot and dry, but very lonely except the one town full of pokemon he quickly learned to not trust. The forests that surrounded the peak elsewhere were far too scared of Chiffy to welcome him, so he had no choice but to keep moving from place to place and wander. He eventually stumbled across the Prismatic Jungle and nearly lost his life in the ensuing conflict, taken by surprise and outnumbered for trespassing without realizing.
Barely able to escape and nearly crippled from injury, Chiffy flew as hard and fast in whatever direction he could to get away, eventually seeing a settlement below and practically falling from the sky into it: Chiffy had stumbled into the Lost Outpost. When he landed, everyone there was too surprised and scared to approach the barely conscious Charizard until the ever prepared Chibby came out of his bakery, still under construction at the time, and immediately sprung to apply first aid.
Ever since, Chiffy has been practically inseparable from Chibby. Despite not having had an interest in baking before, or even knowing about it at all, Chiffy started learning from Chibby. Chiffy quickly turned out to have a natural aptitude, especially with bread, and is now working quite hard for Chibby in his newly opened bakery. Template:Clr
