On the opposite side of Castle Draclugia from Tao Village, trade between these two villages is profitable, but because of its location within the Creeping Forest, travel to Sapling can be treacherous.

1) The Commerce Mushroom: a great trading plaza, formerly run by an old Parasect, Elder Shroom.

2) Shroomish Hub: its namesake comes from the fact that it houses many, many Shroomish! Shroomsworth used to call this building his home.

3) Bellutiful Cuts: Belle the Bellossom and Lilly the Lilligant both style Pokemon in different ways, here.

4) Barty's Bluff Outpost: takes villagers to Tao Village and back here to Sapling Village. (In service after Mission 2 is over.)

5) Sapling Village Library: an old, large library, founded a couple centuries ago.

6) Lotad Pond: a favorite hangout spot.

7) Old Shrine: villagers have mostly forgotten who the shrine is for. Legend states that the shrine was erected in honor of a brave grass type who was thought to have lost its life defending weak Pokemon.

Missions and Events

Mission 2

Shroomsworth and the Merchants were to take a cargo of eggs and deliver them to Sapling Village in order to replenish the population there. They chose to travel through Merlot's castle but Shroomsworth had to pay quite a hefty toll. During his visit there, Shroomsworth decided to visit the old shrine in the back of the village.

Event 3

Sorbet had brought an early winter to Tao Village but luckily left Sapling untouched. However, guild members came to the village in order to collect spores Dr. Quaak needed to make some medicine to cure everyone back in Tao who became ill.

Mission 4

Arianna had refused to respond to Shroomsworth letter, requesting an ancient tome about Sorbet, and locked herself up in her library. When PK and other merchants arrived to speak with her personally, Arianna used the Thistle Whistle to close Sapling Village and further protect her library. She eventually agreed to help the Kecleon but only after the merchants had to fight their way into the library.

Mission 5 Epilogue

Arianna sent Sporegard to Tao Village with a letter, asking Shroomsworth to take back the whistle PK had stolen from her, but had realized of the terrible blizzard Sorbet had create shortly after the Shroomish left. Elder Shroom assured Arianna that he would be able to find the child and make sure he safely returned. However, he never returned; Arianna set out to find the two but found Sporegard alive and well under Elder Shroom's body.

Successor

After receiving word of what PK had stolen and of Elder Shroom's death, Shroomsworth quit as Merchant leader and returned to Sapling Village.
