Tao Ranch is where most of the food for Tao Village and the surrounding area comes from. It was once run by both Ovaltine and Malt, though following the destruction of the village and ranch, Malt left the ranch in the hands of his sister to that he may assist PK with handling the Merchant guild. The image shown above is how the Ranch looked like prior to the destruction that occurred in Mission 5 at its old location much farther away from Tao Village.

Missions and Events

Mission 2

Reports of a Milktank named Ovaltine caught the interest of the Rescuer guild. Reports have come in stating how the Miltank charmed some villagers out of their belongings! Rescuers were ordered to find her and put a stop to her actions.

Mission 3

The milk supply of the village was running dangerously low for a simple reason: Ovaltine was still in Tao Village. She had left the Ranch after an argument with her brother, Malt, when he refused to give her some vacation time. In order to keep the contract between the Ranch and village valid, Shroomsworth dispatched Merchant guild members to escort Ovaltine back to the ranch.

Meanwhile, members of Slasher's gang had begun raiding the ranch and stealing from the egg supply. Puzelle had hired Vergil to keep the Sneasels out of the ranch, but there were too many for him to handle himself. The Rescuers answered the call for extra help.

Mission 4

Udon had shown up out of nowhere and declared all food now belonged to her dear lady, Merlot. When Ovaltine and Iceburg came to see what the commotion was about, both recognized the Dragonite, though it appeared the maid did not recognize either of them, and ordered the two to come to Castle Draclugia with her. Out of panic, Strawberry raced to Tao Village to seek out help from the Rescuers. They gave Udon just some food for her to bring back to the Baroness and left the Ranchers alone.

Mission 5

Sorbet fell victim to a powerful illusion and began to destroy the village, as well as create a powerful blinding blizzard. Mike and Sandy, as well as many volunteers, trek through the blizzard and evacuated all the Ranchers.

Mission 6

Once day broke, the damage to what Sorbet had caused became clear. The ranch had been completely covered with snow and sustained a serve amount of water damage. The cold had also killed all fruits and vegetables. The only thing salvageable were some crates of milk and eggs. Along with Malt's new position with the Merchant guild, it was decided it was best to move the ranch much closer to Tao Village. PK and the Merchant guild took over the reconstruction of the village, as well as assisting the Ranchers in moving to their new location.

The Question

Malt arranged an appointment with the Ranchers and PK to finally meet and check on the progress since the reconstruction of the ranch. Iceburg, Ruben, and Clover all met the Kecleon but with different reactions; Iceburg became extremely timid, Ruben acted as if she had seen PK before, and Clover creeped out her boss. After breakfast, Malt began to escort PK to meet his sister, but Twigs appeared and took his girl on yet another date, despite her prior engagement.
