A mysterious Zoroark with unknown motives. It is said that with a legendary instrument known as the Twilight Clarinet, she can create extremely powerful illusions. She was the one who was behind many major attacks on Tao Village in the past and in recent events.

Mission 3

She had tasked her Zorua children to disguise as Chill, Devonshire, and PK during Mission 3. Each one had a different task, mainly assigning missions that did not belong to each guild's plans. The problem with them was that they did not disguise very well, perhaps because they did not remember the guild leader's original body shape or look:

  • Hatch, disguised as Chill of the Rescuers, had problems imitating the glasses, making them star-shaped instead of Chill's "cool-looking" sunglasses. Also, his tail was still visible.
  • Tohne, disguised as Devonshire from the Rogues, had problems imitating his crystal eyes. While Devonshire's eyes are a cyan-blue color, the fake Sableye's color was yellow. Same as the first, Tohne's tail was still visible.
  • Charcoal, disguised as PK of the Merchants, had problems imitating her head shape: while PK's head shape is a bit round and the spikes are quite separated, Charcoal's imitation had a more pointy head, with teeth poking out the mouth, and the head spikes were less separated. Same as the other two, Charcoal's tail was exposed.

The intruders set missions for each guild:

  • Rescuers: The fake Chill put on a cartel for capturing the rogue, Gunpowder. Those who accepted this mission had to face and capture the Gabite to complete the mission
  • Rogues: The fake Devonshire wanted PK's item booth to be trashed. Those who accepted this mission had to destroy PK's item booth to succeed.
  • Merchants: The fake PK said that Chill owed the merchants a lot of money and that it was time for him to pay his debt. She asked the merchants who accepted this job to steal Chill's treasure, using force if necessary.

Each of the Zoroark's children succeeded on their tasks, however it didn't take long for the leaders to find out they were tricked. However, in her haste to bring justice to whoever ruined her item booth, PK wrongly blamed Palette for the destruction caused by Shade's children.

Mission 5

For currently unknown reasons, it was Shade who caused the illusion in Sorbet's mind that to believe that PK forced him to destroy all of Tao Village by using the Icicle Triangle and the Draconicello. Though she wasn't caught, Devonshire had Palette helping to clear a Heatran out of the escape tunnels while Sorbet was rampaging, forcing PK to realize her mistake back in Mission 3, and leading them one step closer to discovering who the true culprit was.

Event 6.2

In the second half of event 6, Shade managed to capture Jasmine by using an illusion and bring her to the center of the Illusory Forest. There she held the Celebi hostage, bound in red chains, and attempted to convince her to just leave so she wouldn't have to kill her; though, she was not supposed to give Jasmine that option. One of Shade's children, Charcoal, lead PK and a large band of other Pokemon to where Shade was hiding. Upon the other Pokemon's arrival they attempted to set up an ambush, the full plan didn't manage to get fleshed out before Shade moved in for the kill however. Though PK managed to stall her for a moment, Shade struck Jasmine with a mortal wound. In the ensuing confusion, Jasmine exploded in a torrent of time magic; causing the Celebi, Shade, and many other Pokemon to vanish hundreds of years into the past.

Mission 7 (???)

Finding herself suddenly sans captive and being pursued, Shade fled. Devonshire (aided by Vergil, Caldera, and Dr.Quaak) lead a band of Rescuers in hunting down the Zoroark. No longer having her Twilight Clarinet, Shade's illusions were far less powerful. The Rescuers eventually managed to forcefully subdue Shade and bring her to the meeting point at Monochrome Tower.

Mission 7 Epilogue

Upon arrival to the tower, it was discovered that the area where Tao would normally be was shrouded in illusion. Devonshire decided to investigate the area, leaving Shade in the custody of Caldera and the other gathered Pokemon. Traversing the illusions, Devonshire found himself in a small village of Zoroark who bore striking golden eyes identical to that of Shade's. Though, the beads they wore at this time were a blue color. This tribe was found to be made up of pacifists, who were offering their fullest assistance to PK in attempting to heal the dieing Jasmine.

Mission 8 (Past)
