Missions and Events

PK's Request

Following the news of Palette's death, Pal went to Tao Village. He met with a small Cubone and was to the tunnels under Devonshire's lawfirm where a surprise awaited for him.

Mission 5

A couple of weeks after Pal had found his Zoroark partner inside the cave under the Law Firm, Palette mentioned she had woken up an unknown lava Pokémon who rested inside the cave. Pal and Palette, along with volunteer guild members, were asked to take it out, through persuasion or by force if necessary.

Red or Black

Following the destruction of Tao Village, Pal found himself in Alomomola City, specifically over in the King's Rock Casino. He was brought to Royce's office because he had accumulated a huge amount of debt. The Slowking gave the Smeargle a couple of options to pay off his debt to the casino, both humiliating and downright cruel, which Pal immediately rejected. Admiring his courage, Royce decided to give Pal another chance not only to forgive his debt, but to also give Pal 400,000 Poke with no strings attached. Using an actual roulette wheel hidden in the office, if the white ball were to land on any black space, Pal would receive the money but if it were to land on any red space, Royce would have Pal tortured on stage in public. Pal accepted the bet and, luckily for him, the ball landed on 24 black. Royce allowed the Smeargle to leave the casino with the money, just like he promised, though Pal made a note to himself after the incident, he would never try to gamble again.

With money in hand, Pal walked back to Tao Village in hopes of catching Palette by surprise with his winnings. He intended to use the money to buy a plot of land from PK and build a home for the painters. However, the Zoroark had surprised Pal instead when she told him how Devonshire was able to arrange a new home for the painters to make up for burning down Palette's previous residence. Pal was speechless but happy for the gesture. He kept the money he won from the bet but has yet to tell his partner how he got the Poke.

Pal had been commissioned by Missy to paint a mural inside the daycare, but he believed the job would be an opportune time for his student to improve on her own skills as a professional artist. When he arrived home later that evening, he found the interior a wreck caused by three Zorua children (Hatch, Charcoal and Tohne). Palette explained the children's situation to him and mentioned their mother, from whom he had rescued her. He was concerned that by associating herself with these Zorua, she would revert back to her Rogue ways before she came to live with him. His student left their home, for she believed Pal had only taken her in out of pity.

In his few days of solitude, Pal secretly watched Palette work on the mural. On the fourth night when the commission was completed, he took the Zoroark home and reconciled with her. Template:Clr

A painter who works alongside Pal, Palette the Zoroark is a former Rogue who swindled rich clients by imitating beautiful pieces of art that faded after she left with the payment. She now works as an honest painter, sometimes working at a steep discount, or even for free, due to her past as a rogue. Having worked with Pal extensively, she ended up learning Sketch from him.

Mission 3 Epilogue

Immediately after Sorbet arrived in Tao Village, PK accused Palette of having been the source of the destruction and trickery caused by Shade's children. Annoyed that her stand was broken as a result of the illusions, PK reasoned that a Zoroark had to be behind the crime, deciding that Palette must have done it. Being an ex-Rogue, Devonshire offered to take care of Palette for PK, who didn't seem to care what happened as long as Palette had to leave.

PK's Request

One night, Palette was in her home alone, totally unaware of PK's accusations towards the Zoroark. She was about to prepare some food when she sensed something nearby. Her senses quickly turned to fear when whatever was outside had cornered her in her own home. Devonshire appeared and eerily addressed that she needed to disappear.

The following morning, the Patrat Patrol investigated the charred remains of Palette's home and Chex brought out the skeleton of a Zoroark.

Mission 5

At the beginning of Mission 5, it was revealed that Palette had not been murdered by Devonshire at all, but was being harbored in his care for unknown reasons. She scouted ahead to find an angry, cranky Heatran in the tunnels, warning Devonshire of the danger it posed to the evacuation effort.

Red or Black

Once Pal return from his trip to Alomomola City, the Zoroark surprised her partner by telling him the wonderful thing Devonshire had done for the two. To make up for burning down her previous home, Devonshire arranged with PK to set aside a plot of land within the village to build the home and studio for the artists.

Inspiration

Missy had commission Pal to paint a mural within the Daycare, but he gave his student the opportunity instead since he was already busy with a previous commission. She nervously accepted the task, though she had absolutely no idea what to paint. Her thoughts were interrupted by Charcoal, who demanded to know what she was doing. While Charcoal played and fought with her brother, Hatch, Tohne calmly spoke with the artist and questioned about what she was doing. Palette told him about how one only needs three colors to create unlimited combinations. Tohne became very interested in the concept and even explained his problem with his illusion ability to her. As a demonstration, he turned into Devonshire, with golden gem eyes, in front of her. Palette then realized it was Tohne who destroyed PK's Item Stand and lead to false accusations against her. Despite what he had done in the past, Palette offered to teach Tohne more about colors if he and his siblings explained their nightmares to her at the art studio.

Once at the studio, Palette left the Zorua children alone while she fixed something to eat. When she returned, she found a huge mess and Pal standing at the door. Palette began to explain who the Zoruas were and who their mother was but Pal was more concerned on who she chose to associate herself with and even hinted on the only reason why he took her in was out of pity. Palette was insulted and told her partner she would leave the studio. As she cleaned up the mess, Palette told the children to paint out their nightmares. Once they finished, each of them explained to her what they saw, except Hatch, who broke down crying for his mother to return. Palette escorted the three back to the Daycare and stayed there for the night. She was unable to sleep for awhile and stared at the blank wall when Tohne awakened. She made Tohne promise to her and himself that if he was ever unhappy with who he was, he would change.

Palette spent a few days away from the studio and Pal, interviewing former residents of the Daycare, and completing the mural within four days. On the fourth day, Pal appeared and took her back to the studio where the two danced and reconciled. Template:Clr
