Pal the Smeargle is a young painter who dreams of becoming the best artist in all of Tao Village. He works alongside Palette and with the Merchant's Guild often to find work painting on walls and doing frescoes.

PMD: Origins Vol. I

Pal lives in Tao Village, drawing portraits of the Pokémons he is asked to draw, in exchange of money. One night while he worked on his list of works, he heard a few noises and screams coming out near some trees, he figured out a young Pokémon was in danger and went to inspect. For his surprise he found the Zoroark who raided the Merchant's hut earlier that day, pursuing a smaller member of her evolutionary line, a small Zorua who ran for her life. Intercepting, he used Signal Beam on the attacker, allowing the two smaller Pokémon to escape from the threat.

Once they were safe, the Smeargle and the Zorua greeted, telling their names to each other. Pal asked Palette about the reason why she was in such a dangerous place, but she did not desire to tell him. Eventually, Pal found out she worked for Devonshire, leader of the Rogues. Palette desired to quit her job, but she wanted some company to face her boss, so, under the conditions of being the Smeargle's assistant for two weeks, and that she would be the one telling the Ghost type Pokémon that she was quitting, he would be on her side in such tense moment. That morning, after Palette quitted her job, both Pokémon returned to Pal's hut where she would be his assistant.

Mission 5

A couple of weeks after Pal had found his Zoroark partner inside the cave under the Law Firm, Palette mentioned she had woken up an unknown lava Pokémon who rested inside the cave. Pal and Palette, along with vonlunteer guild members, were asked to take it out, through persuasion or by force if necessary. Template:Clr

A painter who works alongside Pal, Palette the Zoroark is a former Rogue who swindled rich clients by imitating beautiful pieces of art that faded after she left with the payment. She now works as an honest painter, sometimes working at a steep discount, or even for free, due to her past as a rogue. Having worked with Pal extensively, she ended up learning Sketch from him.

PMD: Origins Vol. I

Palette's life in Tao Village started as the only guild assistant of Devonshire, as a zorua, but after running away from an evil zoroark with the help of a certain smeargle, Palette quitted her job and started to work as an assistant of Pal. After a short time she had to reveal information about the Law firm building, after a gabite arrived to town, otherwise he would harm the spinda who talked about a zorua going in and out this old building.

Event 3

Immediately after Sorbet arrived in Tao Village, PK accused Palette of having been the source of the destruction and trickery caused by Shade's children. Annoyed that her stand was broken as a result of the illusions, PK reasoned that a Zoroark had to be behind the crime, deciding that Palette must have done it. Being an ex-Rogue, Devonshire offered to take care of Palette for PK, who didn't seem to care what happened as long as Palette had to leave.

PK's Request

That night, after the reunion of the guild leaders to find out the cause of the trouble caused by the fake guild leaders, our artistic zoroark stood drawing at home, it was her job, her enjoyment, to only draw. A sudden noise broke her concentration, that noise coming from her stomach. It was hard for Palette to get distracted, even by hunger, but maybe this time it has been too long since she last ate something.

Suddenly, while walking towards the kitchen, an unknown sound hit the female dark type's ears. It was not the sound of wind flowing through the grass; she was sure something was wrong. Looking at the window the barely saw something moving, scary for her. It was enough to make her back away and close the windows on her house.

She moved to the living room, now having locked all windows and her door as well, listening on how the apparent intruder broke a window in the paint and oil storage room. It scared her enough to move back to her bedroom, placing her bed frame to block the door. It was the only room in her house that did not have a window... except that this time it did have, and the view was that of twisted-looking, dark trees, she knew the intruder was something powerful, and now she was trapped with it. The voice of a familiar, frightening pokemon spoke, desiring to make her "dissappear", as requested by an angry kecleon who accused her of the trouble caused in the guilds during that day. By the voice, she knew who he was.

Trying to escape she tried running trough her house, but all doors were locked by none more than herself Eventually she could not run away from him, giving up to the stronger being.

A few days later, there was some commotion around palette's now burned house. A small, sad cubone moved out the house, carrying the charred corpse of a pokemon.

Mission 5

At the beginning of Mission 5, it was revealed that Palette had not been murdered by Devonshire at all, but was being harbored in his care for unknown reasons. She scouted ahead to find an angry, cranky Heatran in the tunnels, warning Devonshire of the danger it posed to the evacuation effort. Template:Clr
