Waauauauauauuuuuuuu!! Someone! Anyone! Do something!! There's a horrible dragon gone all cuckoo!! And not just anything, nonononono, but I'm practically begging for some heroism here! Don't tell me this village is all fresh out of that!!

If you would calm yourself, barkeep, you’ll be pleased to know that I have two somewhat ideal candidates here, ready to spring into the heroism you so desire.

Eh? What’s all this ‘bout heroism? That word ain’t written in me book, if’n I had a book, that is.

As I was saying, barkeep, if you find the current condition of Tao Village to be a bit too.. hostile, I have an escape route underneath my headquarters, for this very type of emergency.

Uowawowa... That sure sounds like a plan there!! It would've rivaled the original plan I had to shelter everyone in my cafe, but since it caved in, I'm all out of cafes! If only I had a spare...

While the situation is dire, I do not think the... *ahem* non-Rogues among us... would appreciate being led into the heart of Rogue activity in our village.

What a brilliant point you have there! Shall I inform the Pokemon already heading towards my office they should instead make their way to the Merchant’s escape tunnels?

I'm not complaining this time. A life is a life and I don't wanna gamble it away. Where's your escape tunnels, Devvy?

Inside my Law Firm. You should have no trouble finding the exact tunnel, as I’ve prepared two guides to help you in your exodus. Even if you choose not to trust me, you may very well trust them.

WUA WUA WUA ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO FORGET ABOUT ME WHAT ABOUT THE POKEMON THAT ARE STUCK IN THE CAFE THAT WAS CAVED IN?

Ah.. I do apologize.. Chrys, is it? That’s a rather simple task! These two here will attack that big, awful dragon, and attempt to lead it away! With some help from our beloved Rescuers, of course. Heroism at its finest!

Well, I can’t very well sit around and watch everything get wrecked, now can I? Perhaps I may be able to offer my assistance as well!

Nngh... fine, if you can handle Sorbet, then I want you all to get him away from this town. I guess I'm in charge of getting everyone else to safety in these tunnels. I'm putting all my trust in you guys! Maple... where is she...

Here! And I'm gonna help Mr. Fresnel out with this!

What?! No, you're coming with me, and that's fin--

No!! I can help Mr. Fresnel with the blizzard with the triangle! It can push away the snow, see?

Apologies, young Michael, but it seems there’s no better way to go about this rotten situation. The both of us will have to put away our concerns. I propose that Chrys and Sandy help Michael and I to evacuate the village and the ranch. Chrys may aid me with the village proper, and Sandy may aid Michael with the ranch.

It’s settled, then! I do wish I could accompany you all in gathering up the denizens of our village, but I have to finish some last-minute preparations for my tunnel. I hope to see all of you safely. Sooner, rather than later.

Ah! I completely forgot about that old fireball! Don’t worry about waking him up. Just imagine the ruckus he would have caused if we roused him from his slumber mid-evacuation! We’ll just have to persuade him to leave, won’t we?

By ourselves?! I don’t think Pal and I can handle that!

We! As in us! Plural! More than one, my dear Palette! I will be leading this mission personally! A privilege I haven’t had in ages! If this still does not relieve you of your concerns, I will draft a few lucky guild members to assist us in our persuasion.

There is no need to fret, Palette, ma chérie; we’ve seen that Devonshire and his guild are both quite capable, yes?

Ahh... I suppose so.

MISSION 5

MAIN MISSION

Distraction effort!

All of the guilds have banded together to try to deal with Sorbet’s sudden and surprising attack on the village. In order to properly rescue Pokemon from Tao Village and Tao Ranch, it’s imperative that Sorbet not be present. Fresnel, Dmitri, Gunpowder, and Maple have taken on the task of trying to get Sorbet to move his destruction into Creeping Forest instead. They require as much help as they can get for this task, as Sorbet is very powerful, but out of his mind, leading any efforts to talk to him fruitless.

Gunpowder is strong and quick, but rendered a lot more useless by the ice. This is partially relieved by Maple’s ability to redirect blizzards and ice with the Icicle Triangle, but not fully. Dmitri is, strangely enough, very disciplined in combat and quick on his toes. Fresnel’s light provides a beacon for any member who gets separated due to the snowstorm that Sorbet’s started.

It’s very unlikely that any group will be able to take Sorbet down, but as long as he’s worn down, then there is less danger to others. Do your best to tire him out away from Tao Village. Any guild member may participate in this mission.

SIDE MISSIONS

Tunnel reclamation!

Devonshire has oh so graciously allowed for the usage of his tunnels to evacuate Pokemon to safety elsewhere. (Though, even he forgets where the tunnel leads.) However, there’s a tiny problem he forgot about... Palette scouted ahead and found an angry, tired Heatran taking up residence in the old passage. He needs to be removed from the tunnel in some manner without causing a cave in. Any form of persuasion is okay. Any guild member may help Devonshire, Pal, and Palette clear the tunnel.

Evacuate Tao Village!

Shroomsworth and Chrys have taken it upon themselves to help Pokemon escape from broken buildings in Tao, the exception being Chrys’s shop (as it is currently both hard to enter and empty save for Winston, who can hide in the cellar). There was a cave-in at the Cafe during Sorbet’s assault on the treehouse, so many Pokemon are trapped under the ground. Missy also needs help getting all the babies and eggs out of her building. Various other Pokemon in Tao are having trouble getting to a safe spot, so please escort them to Devonshire’s law firm and wait for his instructions to proceed into the tunnel to safety. (After he has cleared out whatever lies beneath). Any guild member may help Chrys and Shroomsworth.

Evacuate Tao Ranch!

There is a massive blizzard striking a giant radius around Tao Village, the nearby ranch being greatly affected. Mike and Sandy are going there and leading the Pokemon back to the village, but due to decreased visibility, this is a hard task. Please aid them in getting all of the ranchers to Devonshire’s law firm and wait for his instructions to proceed into the tunnel to safety. (After he has cleared out whatever lies beneath). Any guild member may help Mike and Sandy.

MISSION OBJECTIVES

MAIN MISSION
1) Help Maple, Fresnel, Dmitri and Gunpowder lead the unresponsive Sorbet into Creeping Forest
2) Avoid getting too close to Merlot’s castle, lest you incite her rage as well
3) Wear him down for as long as possible

Your mission begins during the twilight hour, and ends during daybreak (giving all the Pokemon enough time to evacuate)

SIDE MISSIONS

TUNNEL RECLAMATION
1) Find Devonshire, Pal, and Palette under the law firm
2) Either force or persuade Heatran to leave the tunnel without caving it in
3) Do not let Pokemon evacuate until the tunnel is clear

EVACUATE TAO VILLAGE
1) Seek out Chrys and Shroomsworth
2) Go around Tao Village and help Pokemon out of any collapsed structure
3) Help the escaped Pokemon make it to Devonshire’s law firm

EVACUATE TAO RANCH
1) Seek out Mike and Sandy
2) Make your way to Tao Ranch through the blizzard
3) Help all the ranchers evacuate safely to Devonshire’s law firm
