King's Rock Casino
A casino in Alomomola Bay.
The King's Rock Casino is the epicenter of Alomomola City. Pokémon after Pokémon file in in order to try and win it Big, only to leave that very same night with empty pockets and a downtrodden soul. Upon entering the casino, a Pokémon is greeted with the sounds of slot machines going off, die hitting roulette wheels, and the shouts of victory as well as grunts of disappointment and sometimes vulgar language. This is the atmoshpere of the casino, where one can win it all or nothing at all.
The casino not only houses a gambling center, but also a bar and theater. If one is too engrossed in a game to leave and get a drink, Nina, the head Clefairy cocktail waitress, or many of her Clefairy co-workers, will gladly bring one over to you.
The theater is present for any Pokémon who wishes to take a break from the stress of the casino or to cater to one's theatrical cravings. One of the most famous shows within the casino is Hugh's Magic Show. With the aide of Dee and Nie, Hugh always puts on wonderful shows for Pokémon young and old and without the aide of Psychic abilities. Nay, Hugh was not born with this defect, but rather the casino itself has Dusk Stones embedded into the walls to prevent Psychic types from using their abilities to score easy winnings.
Should you cause a ruckus within the casino, either because you are too much in an inebriated state to make sound judgement, or place blame on an inanimate object for taking you salary, you will be given a generous warning to calm yourself, by Riiko, the co-owner of the casino. If you do not heed that warning, then do not be surprised if you end up face flat, rear up, outside the casino courtesy of Bill one of the many bodyguards hired for the casino.
The casino is owned by none other than Royce, a rather charismatic yet manipulative Slowking. Royce oversees all the going-ons in the casino and deals with any and everything accordingly. It is rumored that Royce has some "shady" business connected with the establishment, however these myths are always put to rest rather quickly.
The casino is run on electricity, a strange site in the Pokémon world. There are two engineers present in the city who work on the casino, making sure everything it top-notch and up to date: Eve and Wind her apprentice. Eve was instructed by the Head Engineer of Steel City, Jules and then passed on her teachings to Wind. The duo also work in turn with Vendetta who, out of unknown reasons, has caused a hiccup or two in the casino's system.

Naive or unaware Pokémon don't usually catch on to what seemingly-friendly Royce is doing when he talks to you. The truth is, he's always evaluating whether or not you still intend to spend, trying to figure out whether it's time to call in special aid or not (and what this means is not quite clear). He has many friends that help... relieve those who've gone bankrupt of their money. If you've gone on a big enough win streak, you'll definitely call his attention one way or another.
Missions and Events
Spiritual Malaise
One of the slot machines on the casino floor began to malfunction and gave the same customer jackpot winnings twice in a row. After the customer failed to leave the machine upon Royce's request, the Slowking called upon Bill to escort the Pokemon out of the casino without his winnings. Royce made a trip downstairs to find Wind and his Porygon-Z friend, Vendetta. He made it very clear to the Sandshrew to fix the problem within the following hour or the two of them will be punished.
Red or Black
Royce began to notice Pal in his casino but not for a good reason; the Smeargle had accumulated a huge amount of debt and was brought to the Slowking's office when it was clear Pal wouldn't be able to pay it off. Royce gave Pal several options to pay off his debt, all of each were humiliating and cruel, but the artist refused.
Admiring his courage, Royce gave Pal one more change to not only pay off his debt, but to also win 400,000 Poke with no strings attached. The deal was to use a roulette wheel hidden in his office. If the white ball were to land on any black space, Pal would receive the money, but if it were to land on any red space, Royce would have Pal tortured on stage in public. Pal hesitated at first, but luckily won the bet leaving no choice to Royce but to keep his promise and let him leave the casino with his winnings.
Tasks
July 2013
Royce took it upon himself to organize this month's task, as well as list some jobs that needed to be perform.
Outside the casino, Royce ordered some guild members to help with the construction in the slums and help make the work place safe. This was worth one point.
Back at the casino, Royce had noticed some Pokemon had actually forged fake chips and stolen real chips used to play at the casino. He asked guild members to find the culprit, capture, and bring them to him. This was worth one point.
With Riiko gone, the casino's Risk Room was left without a supervisor. Royce found some of the practices in the room to be too barbaric for his taste, so he hired some guild members to oversee the room and make sure no one bet their life away just to double their winnings. This was worth one point.
There is a video poker machine that has begun to talk back to customers in a rather rude way. To avoid having more Pokemon walk out of the casino, Royce asked guild members to see if they can reason with the machine before he had to call upon Wind to take care of it. This was worth one point.
A Gardevoir is a regular customer to the casino, but she has lately been appearing less and less, becoming bored of the casino. Royce asked guild members to show this classy lady that the casino is a great place to enjoy oneself all the time. This was worth one point.
A strange Bisharp had appeared and claimed to be sent by Anana, even though she was still in Tao Village. Royce isn't comfortable having this new co-head of security ahead and would like to get rid of him, but the only way to do that is to prove how incompetent he is. Guild members were asked to cheat on purpose with the Bisharp around and have Royce catch them cheating instead. Instead of being punished, they would receive one point.
Just as well, Royce and other Merchants in the city have come across many artifacts they had no use for. These were made available for the month to guild member who could afford them. Template:Clr

The other co-owner of the casino, Riiko tends to deal/run the most expensive games, as he finds that this cannot be trusted to their normal Clefairy staff. If there is a problem with a game, it's been said that Riiko has a special way of communicating this to Royce, who deals with calling in the "special help."
Tasks
July 2013
Riiko had left with Balthazar to the west to collect some debts owed to the casino. This left Royce a bit understaffed and needed to hire some guild members to pick up the slack.
It is revealed that Riiko runs and oversees the Risk Room, where Pokemon may bet their pelt or tail, for example, to double their winnings. Royce finds some of the games to be a bit barbaric but Riiko appears to enjoy it. Template:Clr
