Windswept Woods is a location in Tao World located just northwest of Tao Village and Tao Ranch. Many air currents in different directions pass over here, so there's a lot of through traffic by people traveling by air. Winston and Barty hail from here.

Shortly after Jasmine exploded and took hundreds of Pokemon into the past, Opal's gems had been taken by the thief, Bane. Opal tried to seek help from the Rescue guild, but Fresnel held a grudge against her just because of her relationship with Mike and refused to assist. Gunpowder saw the Seviper in distressed and ordered Dmitri to help her get her gems back. He asked members of the Rogues guild to go with the pair to Windswept Woods, where it was known Bane's secret hideout was located, and make sure Dmitri helped Opal.
