A jewel-cutter that works in Gambitville. She takes in unrefined gems, and cuts them into jewelery to be sold at in Alomomola Bay.
She is Guld's daughter.
She met Mike when he visited Gambitville. He and Syrup offered to help her collect gems, so she could full fill her dream of becoming a jewel-cutter. During their journey she started to develop feelings for Mike, which seem to be mutual.
Reprieve
Opal had recently moved into Gambitville by the time she met Syrup and Mike. She voiced a desire to explore a cave in Sandsong Desert for gems, but she needed company to transport her spoils and protect her from swarming Flygon in the area. Syrup agreed to the challenge and they soon left for the expedition.

The next day, they had returned to Gambitville, and Opal discovered her room trashed and her boss murdered with a note from Gold threatening to get her next. Syrup devised a plan to escort Opal out of town and to have the citizens continue through their lives as if the Seviper had never returned from the desert.
Mission 7
Shortly after the time explosion caused by Jasmine, Opal discovered that her gems had been stolen by the thief, Bane. She sought out Fresnel to help her get her gems back, but he refused and turned her away. Desperate for any assistance, Opal ran into Gunpowder and asked for the Rogues to help her. He agreed and assigned Dmitri to be in charge of the task, completely overlooking the fact the Zangoose couldn't stand to be near snakes. Guild members had to make sure Dmitri did his job and went to Windswept Woods with him and Opal to find Bane's lair and the stolen goods.
