Event 2
This was just supposed to be a routine trip. Every summer he would leave the mountains of Snowy Village and travel to nowhere in particular just to thaw himself out, so to speak. He never expected this to happen. He could hear the soft yawns as the Plusle awoke, looking over with a sleepy smile.
“Mister Zhu? Where did your bag go?” Tam asked him after noticing the lack of the familiar item. He only shrugged, his mind elsewhere as he looked about for any signs of where the thief could have gone.
As Tam awakened her sleeping sister, Zhu couldn’t help but wonder, why would they just take the bag itself? Not the fireworks, or the powder, just the bag made from the black scales of his master... his late master. “We have to get these fireworks out of here.” The boar spoke quietly, more to himself than to either of the girls. “Why don’t we just carry them?” Aya questioned, looking up to the tall boar. He simply shook his head. “Too risky...we could set them off with your sparks or my flames...”
The rustling of leaves caught his attention in time to look over and see a Sneasel walking out of the grove towards them. He never did understand why so many ice-types lived in Creeping Forest, but it wasn’t really his business. “Need help, hmn? Well... there’s a village through the forest.. there are Pokemon there who could probably help you out.” The Sneasel suggested, pointing a claw to the south before folding his arms. Zhu looked out to the village in the distance, then back to the Sneasel. He grunted and bowed a thanks before beginning to walk south, sure that the girls would be following close behind as usual.
After an hour or two of walking, Zhu and the girls could finally see a bustling little village with a small sign marked ‘Welcome’ standing just before the entrance. As they entered, the first thing to catch Zhu’s eye was a Kecleon working behind a wooden stand. As he approached, he watched her count funds she had most likely collected from customers.
“Excuse me, ma’am..” The Kecleon looked up from her counting and gave Zhu a good once over. “Yeah, what can I do for ya?” “I’m looking for a black scaled bag.. Have you seen it?” The purple Kecleon sat back for a second in thought and shook her head. “Nope, I’d remember something like that. It’d have sold for big.” Zhu snorted a bit. “Was there anything in it?” She inquired, putting her money in it’s proper place. “Fireworks. But they were left behind in the forest. Actually... is there anyone who could carry them back for me?” “Huh..well, you could go ask the Rescuers or the Rogues, but tell them to be careful! I don’t wanna have to pay for a new building because some dunderhead set off a bunch ‘o fireworks!” PK warned, shaking her fist at him to emphasize her point. Zhu bowed to her and walked off, asking a nearby Pokemon for directions before approaching the Rescuers’ Headquarters.
After a bit of climbing, Zhu and the girls were in the office of Chill the Mincinno, who had been talking to Mike the Charmander. “Fireworks, huh? That could be bad.. We don’t want the forest catchin’ fire.” The Minccino adjusted his glasses as he finished.
“Kheh! Explosions, definitely not good!” Mike shook his head, looking over to the Emboar. “We’ll see what we can do, but about your bag... you might wanna go looking for the Rogues on that one. Never know who could’ve gotten their paws on it.” “Mike’s got a good point there, those Rogues have been acting totally uncool lately.” Zhu crossed his arms and nodded. “Thank you...” “No prob, man.” Chill waved as the Emboar turned and left, the girls again bounding off after him after thanking Chill and Mike themselves. After a long bout of asking around, Zhu was eventually told to check out the Devonshire Firm, but when he knocked on the boarded door he got no answer.
“Yarr matey, ye lookin’ for someone?” Aya and Tam cowered behind Zhu as he turned to see a Gabite with an eye patch and a pirate’s hat standing behind him looking a bit miffed.
“I was told I’d find the Rogue leaders here.” “Aye, c’mon then, matey. And be swift.” They followed the Gabite in through the back to the inside of the firm where Devonshire sat, scrawling furiously on a piece of paper. “Aye, Devon, we ‘ave a scallywag ‘ere lookin’ for us.” Devonshire looked up to them, setting his pen on the desk. “Oh? Well then, may I ask what it is you need, sir?” After Zhu recounted his story, Devonshire nodded. “Hm... As for your bag, if one of our Rogues has it, neither of us has seen it as of yet. And I’m sure that we can find someone to take care of your fireworks issue, chap.” “Aye. And when tha fireworks are delivered, ye should ‘ave a fireworks display for the village. Get rid ‘o them in style, arr,” Gunpowder added.
“Ah good show, Gunpowder. That sounds like a splendid idea. Well, it’s settled then. We’ll notify you if we find someone to help you.” Zhu nodded his thanks and bowed before leaving the firm. He sighed... It was time to look for help in the bustling plaza.
“Don’t worry Mister Zhu! You’ll find your bag!” Tam stated with a smile. “Yeah! It’ll be back in no time!” Aya added, smiling as well. Zhu smiled back a bit. He was a bit more at ease now, but he was still wondering who had taken his bag. More importantly, he was wondering who would help him safely bring back all the fireworks... –END
File:Icon pk 1.pngIt's that time again... Listen, everyone, an Emboar's requesting anyone's help- Rogue, Rescuer, doesn't matter which guild you're in. He's got a boatload of fireworks out at the outskirts of Creeping Forest and he can't carry 'em around for whatever reason. I guess he had a heat-proof bag or something? No matter, he's got to get rid of them. I'm not the biggest fan in the world of explosives, but... well, they'd be in worse hands if someone doesn't go fetch 'em for this guy, yeah? I understand that Slasher's gang took a pretty rough beating, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're plotting right now how to best wreak havoc... Listen here, I just don't want our pretty village to get damaged, let alone a whole forest. Those things are dangerous! I'm pretty sure this Zhu guy knows how to set them off safely, but we've got to get them in an open area to do so. Normally this wouldn't be any of my beeswax but a lot could go wrong if this isn't handled properly. Don't mess things up! We could get a nice fireworks show out of this! Otherwise, uh, we might get some singed buildings and a burnt up forest. Be careful guys. Oh... I hear he's got some nice rewards for people who help him out. I'd do it but you know, I'm always busy.
