Introduction
About PMD-E
Based on the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games by Nintendo, PMD-Explorers is a group on the website DeviantArt which focuses on art creation and storytelling. This group has absolutely nothing to do with the official games and the story (are no humans, time gears, etc..). Both artists and writers may join the group, create their own team, and actively follow along with the main storyline.
In PMD-E, there are three guilds members may join: Rescuers, Rogues, or Merchants.
- Rescuers are currently led by Mike the Charmeleon and Fresnel the Ampharos. The most popular and the go-to guild, they are often seen as valiant heroes with strong morals and rarely break any rules.
- Rogues follow the orders of Devonshire the Sableye and Gunpowder the Gabite. Unlike their Rescuer counterpart, the Rogues are often seen as having questionable morals and motives but always have good intentions. They are not afraid to break a few rules in order to get a job done.
- Merchants are officially currently under the leadership of PK the Kecleon and Malt the Milktank. This guild can be seen as in-between the morals of the Rescuers and the Rogues. Their main focus is earning money and rarely accept a job if there is no payment.
The storyline progresses with Missions and Events.
For Missions, each guild accepts several jobs, each related to the main storyline, which general have different objectives. It is not uncommon for a mission in one guild to coincide with a mission for another guild. At certain points in the story, which ever guild scores the most points during judging of mission entries, there will be an impact on the story as a whole. The most famous example of this machine is the result of Mission 3. The Merchant guild had scored the highest during judging and as a result, Sorbet the Kyurem was awakened. Had the Rescuers or Rogues won, Reshiram or Zekrom, respectively, would have been awakened instead and the current story would be radically different.
For Events, guilds generally accept the same job and all have the same objective. Although similar to Missions, Events are not judged or have a huge impact on the storyline. These occur in between Missions.
Along with Missions and Events, there are also Tasks teams may also participate in. Unlike Missions and Events, Tasks have little to no impact on the main story. These were recently created for members who wished to still participate in the group but were confused or did not like where the current storyline was headed. Objectives of Tasks are generally simple and easy to carry out. Because of this, Tasks are often use to develop characters or team relationships.
About the Wiki
This is the official Wikipedia of PMD-Explorers. On this website, you will find nearly, if not, everything you would need to, or like to, know about the PMD-E universe. Information on this website is constantly being updated by Admins and some Members of the group.
Here are just some of the things you will find here on the Wiki:
- A complete list of NPCs here! All known NPCs and more in depth information on their role in the storyline can be found there.
- A World Map map lists all known places known so far in the Tao World. While a majority have yet to be visited, some places have information on important missions and events that have occurred there.
- A Timeline has been created and lists not only all Missions and Events, but as well as all canon stories and when they occurred.
- There is also an editorial for members of group here, Legendaries as Personal NPCs. While members are allowed to create as many personal NPCs they want for their stories, there are rules and limitations for using Legendary Pokemon.
