This item is currently in the possession of Devonshire after being procured from Tivoli in Mission 4. When it is played, all dragons and dragon-like Pokemon seem to fall under Tivoli's will. It seems that those who aren't compatible with the instrument burst into flame if they attempt to play it. It is currently unclear on which grounds this compatibility is determined, however.

It also has healing properties, as Arianna demonstrated on some injured merchant teams. It requires intense concentration though, and the instrument seems to be quite picky on what is concentrated on. However, with the help of Fresnel, PK was able to reverse the damage with the Whistle and heal both legs.

This item is currently in the possession of Mike, whom it was sent to by Chill after his battle with Shiv in Snowy Village. With it, Shiv was able to repel Chill's Blizzard and take control over the ice-type residents of the Village. Similarly to the Draconicello, the instrument seems to backfire on certain Pokémon. Curiously, Maple seems to be compatible with it, although her brother is not.

According to Sorbet, the Triangle was created from one of his feathers and a part of another mysterious being. The instrument is used to play the Timbre of Tundras, which is part of a "tremendously marvelous melody." Perhaps more of these instruments are involved with this melody as well?

Background

Pre-Tao Village

Barty grew up in Windswept Woods, a forest that acted as a crossroads of sorts for many air currents, earning it its name. As a young Drifloon, he took a liking to riding these currents to see where they lead. As he grew older, he became more adventurous, travelling farther and farther from home each time, returning to tell his brothers about his journey at the end of the day.

One day, he found himself at Tao Village and, having never seen a town before, was amazed. Although Tao Village's size was modest at the time, he was fascinated by how so many different Pokémon could live together and offer each other their services. He spent the day learning about Tao Village and getting to know its inhabitants.

The following morning, he told his parents about Tao Village and asked if there were more places like it. They told him about the nearby Alomomola Bay, and how it was a popular vacation spot where many types of Pokémon converged. In his excitement, he set off immediately.

Alomomola Bay was just as exciting as Tao Village, if not moreso. As he talked to the inhabitants and watched them go about their daily business, he became eager to learn more about the world. He eventually met a young Buizel, who seemed to share the same thirst for adventure as himself. They would travel together to various places in the general vicinity of Alomomola Bay and share stories of the adventures they had prior to Barty's arrival.

As months passed, Barty found himself right at home in Alomomola Bay, even bringing his brothers over now and then (who seemed to take an interest in the Merchants Guild). Eventually though, he decided it just wasn't enough for him. The sea that sprawled around the city had to end somewhere, and he wanted to know where. As he prepared to set off, the Buizel gave him a pair of goggles as a token of his friendship. In return, Barty promised he would return one day and share all that happened on his adventure. He then bid farewell to the place he had called home and set off into the unknown, with only the familiar sea to keep him company.

Tao Village

Some time later, Barty returned to Alomomola Bay. Having evolved on his journey, many didn't recognize him at first, although he soon caught up with everyone. After greeting his friends and family once again, he told them about the many people and places he had visited over the course of his journey.

The Drifblim had enjoyed many of these places, but there was one place that he wanted to see once more. It was then that he returned to Tao Village, the beginning of his journey. In his time spent there, he noticed that the village seemed... isolated. Perhaps it was his ability to fly, but traveling to or from the village seemed to require a lot of footwork. Watching all of the teams have to walk so much for their missions gave him an idea. He talked with the Guild leaders, who agreed to fund a transportation system in the Village, as it would be a significant help to the guilds. Barty and his two brothers (who had developed respectable monetary skills by this time) then established Barty's Bluff within the town. Template:Clr
