Background
Pre-Tao Village
Barty grew up in Windswept Woods, a forest that acted as a crossroads of sorts for many air currents, earning it its name. As a young Drifloon, he took a liking to riding these currents to see where they lead. As he grew older, he became more adventurous, travelling farther and farther from home each time, returning to tell his brothers about his journey at the end of the day.
One day, he found himself at Tao Village and, having never seen a town before, was amazed. Although Tao Village's size was modest at the time, he was fascinated by how so many different Pokémon could live together and offer each other their services. He spent the day learning about Tao Village and getting to know its inhabitants.
